Trade-based money laundering (TBML) and tackling proceeds from environmental crimes are amongst the financial integrity reform measures that should be built into programmes supported by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) according to a review published by the fund.

Its 2023 Review of The Fund’s Anti-Money Laundering and Combating The Financing of Terrorism Strategy reviews the IMF’s efforts to safeguard financial integrity and proposes the way forward for its anti-money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) strategy.
